A friend of mine recently posted this quote by Deepak Chopra: ”At the source of life, and only there, one finds peace, harmony, and the undisturbed contentment of bliss.”
I reflected upon the “and only there” part for a moment and decided to write some of my own thoughts about that, in part based on my extensive near-death experience many years ago…
Ah yes, the Source. Of course my take on it is that the Source itself is like the unseen seed from which a tree can manifest to give expressed value to the Source. Source (underlying essence that gives rise to and sustains all creation) in and of itself, by definition and reality, has no manifest value. Only potential to become and be known through manifestation of something.
So at the pure Source, we would not find anything. Oops! But from the unmanifest eternity of Source, in the emerging moment that magically gives rise to consciousness (that first something), come all manner of peace, harmony, bliss and every other possible experience, for that matter.
It is in that magical moment that the impetus of consciousness is to create value that would most powerfully and coherently express the unexpressed. That is where we can create and experience the very finest possible quality of peace, harmony, and bliss. It is where the most powerful spark of intent for consciousness to create first begins. The seed begins to sprout.
So, while it may be more accurate to say that at the emerging threshold of Source one can find peace, harmony, and the undisturbed contentment of bliss, it must also be possible to experience that at any given moment in any point of the vast creation–since it is consciousness that is responsible for and cognizant of the content and reality of our creation. It paves the road with opportunity to know itself at any moment. The knower comes to know itself through its creation whereby it ultimately discovers that it is all the same, in essence.
In this regard, the best words of wisdom anyone ever gave me long ago were, “God is in everything.” And after that, everything else has been delicious food for thought…”
